Michael Dunlop returns to Australia as Rokt Head of APAC

Yesterday

Michael Dunlop has been appointed as Head of Commercial Asia-Pacific (APAC) at Rokt, marking his return to Australia after six years in New York.

Dunlop's new role will involve leading Rokt's business development and growth strategies across the APAC region, including operations in Japan. He will report to Chief Revenue Officer Craig Galvin.

Dunlop has a wealth of experience in the sector, having significantly contributed to Rokt's largest partnerships in New York, which resulted in more than USD $300 million in revenue for the company and its clients. These partnerships included major brands such as PayPal, Uber, Nordstrom, Afterpay, Citi Bank, and American Express.

According to Craig Galvin, "Michael's extensive experience in building strong client relationships and scaling businesses across international markets makes him the perfect choice to lead our APAC operations. His proven track record of developing high-performing teams and driving sustainable growth aligns perfectly with our strategic vision for the region. We're thrilled to welcome him back to Australia and have him leading our APAC division."

Michael Dunlop commented on his appointment, "I'm excited to return to Australia and drive growth for Rokt in APCA at such a pivotal time in the company's journey and the JAPAC retail media landscape. The opportunity to lead the APAC region for a business that's truly transforming ecommerce through AI and machine learning is compelling. I look forward to working with the talented team here to expand our presence across APAC and deliver exceptional value to our clients."

This appointment is part of Rokt's strategy for global expansion, which has seen significant growth for the company. The recent merger with mParticle, aimed at redefining real-time relevance, and a secondary transaction that increased the company's valuation to USD $3.5 billion, are testaments to this growth. Additionally, Anita Sands was appointed to the Board of Directors.

Rokt has been bolstering its executive team in the APAC region, with recent appointments including Claire Southey as Chief Product Development Officer, Sharmeen Arain as Commercial Director ANZ, and Mick O'Brien as Head of Australia and New Zealand.

The company maintains one of its headquarters for research and development teams in their Sydney office, located in Surry Hills. This office serves as a central point for innovation and product development. Rokt has consistently delivered strong results for its customers and investors, especially critical at a time when the market competition is tight.
