30Acres set to rebuild Zulu & Zephyr's global Shopify site
Creative commerce agency 30Acres has won an account with Australian coastal fashion brand Zulu & Zephyr to rebuild its global eCommerce platform, with a new website planned to launch in Q2 2026.
The project replaces Zulu & Zephyr's existing online store. 30Acres will develop the new site on Shopify 2.0, with discovery and design already underway.
As Zulu & Zephyr expands internationally, it wants a platform better suited to cross-border trading. The rebuild is intended to deliver a scalable commerce foundation and a single global eCommerce experience.
Pitch win
30Acres secured the work after a competitive pitch and will lead the overhaul and manage the build.
The rebuild will use Shopify 2.0. 30Acres said the new stack will improve site performance and merchandising tools, and deliver a more seamless customer journey from browsing to checkout.
Commercial terms have not been disclosed. Details have also not been provided on whether the new site will change fulfilment, payments, localisation, or international pricing.
Agency momentum
30Acres is positioning the appointment as further momentum in fashion, lifestyle and retail. It cited recent work for Mister Zimi and Thrills, which join Zulu & Zephyr on its client list.
The agency is a certified B Corporation and describes itself as a full-service commerce agency, working across design and build for digital commerce platforms.
For Zulu & Zephyr, the focus is a modernised replacement of its current site. The project reflects a broader retail shift as brands reassess commerce stacks amid rising customer acquisition costs and the growing role of digital experience in conversion.
Shopify continues to attract mid-market and brand-led retailers seeking managed infrastructure and a broad ecosystem of apps and partners. Agencies are competing heavily for Shopify rebuilds in fashion, where storefront design and merchandising controls can directly affect revenue.
Local brands
Chris Brett, Managing Director at 30Acres, said the partnership reflects the agency's interest in supporting Australian brands as they expand abroad.
Brett commented, "We're excited to be working with Zulu & Zephyr as the brand enters its next chapter. As an agency, we've always believed that some of the world's most compelling brands are created right here in our own backyard, and supporting their growth on a global stage is a real privilege."
The launch window allows several months for build, testing and migration, including any transfer of product data, content and customer accounts from the current platform. Brands often use these projects to refresh information architecture and improve mobile performance, which remains critical for fashion retail traffic.
30Acres said the project will replace Zulu & Zephyr's current website and create a new global eCommerce experience, with the new site due to go live in Q2 2026.
