UST has been named a Platinum Partner by Workato, the highest level in its partner programme.

The designation formalises a relationship focused on enterprise integration and AI orchestration, combining UST's transformation and engineering capabilities with Workato's platform for connecting applications, data and workflows.

Unlike many vendor alliances, the partnership also includes internal use of the software by the consulting group itself. UST has migrated its own integration estate to Workato and is extending that use into AI-agent orchestration.

That internal deployment supports Workato's pitch to large organisations, where software suppliers increasingly seek to show they use their own products in day-to-day operations. The platform is positioned as a way for IT and business teams to manage processes, workflows and AI activity in one place, while also supporting API-led integrations.

The announcement comes as service providers and software groups compete for a larger share of corporate spending on AI projects. Many businesses are still grappling with fragmented technology estates and disconnected data, driving demand for tools that can link systems and manage how AI is applied across operations.

For UST, the higher partner tier strengthens its position in selling integration and AI-related services tied to the Workato platform. It also signals a closer commercial relationship at a time when technology consultancies are under pressure to demonstrate practical delivery experience rather than broad AI claims.

UST said the partnership is intended to help organisations connect systems built up over time across departments and functions. That challenge has become more visible as companies try to move AI projects from pilots into broader business use, where access to consistent data and connected workflows is often essential.

Workato has been building its position in the enterprise automation and integration market by arguing that orchestration is becoming as important as the underlying AI models. Its platform is designed to provide a governed layer through which business processes and AI actions can be managed across existing systems.

Customer relationship

UST's dual role as both implementation partner and user gives Workato a reference point when approaching shared customers. It also allows UST to point to its own migration as evidence of experience with the platform beyond advisory work.

Krishna Prasad, Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Information Officer at UST, said the relationship goes beyond standard integration work.

"Workato gives organisations a streamlined platform for integration, workflows, and AI agents, while UST brings the transformation experience to put these breakthroughs to work at scale. Together we are helping organisations move from simply connecting systems to orchestrating the systematic application of AI across their entire business. Platinum Partner status validates the success of a partnership that is already delivering tangible results to clients," Prasad said.

The companies said the relationship builds on earlier collaboration in enterprise AI work. While financial terms were not disclosed, the emphasis on deeper cooperation suggests both sides expect integration and orchestration to remain a significant area of client demand.

Market pressure

Consultancies and software vendors have spent the past two years racing to define their role in corporate AI adoption. For systems integrators, one challenge has been showing how AI tools fit with legacy applications, security requirements and business processes, rather than treating generative AI as a standalone product.

That has helped support a market for integration specialists and orchestration platforms that can connect multiple software environments. In that context, top-tier partner designations matter because they often indicate technical training, joint sales activity and a track record of delivery on shared accounts.

David Ng, Global Vice President, Partner GTM & Alliances at Workato, said UST's internal migration carried particular weight in the partnership.

"UST's Platinum Partner status reflects the depth of technical expertise and enterprise-grade rigor they bring to every engagement. By migrating their own integration estate onto Workato, UST has proven firsthand the value of the platform they help our shared customers scale. We're excited to deepen this partnership and work together to help more enterprises orchestrate AI across their operations," Ng said.
