UiPath leads 2024 Everest Group automation assessment
UiPath has been recognised as the highest-designated Leader in the inaugural Everest Group Intelligent Automation Platforms PEAK Matrix Assessment 2024.
The UiPath Platform combines user interface (UI) and application programming interface (API)-based automation with artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to enable businesses to automate complex processes.
This integration is intended to enhance growth, efficiency, and innovation, while reducing costs and risks. The platform's features include ease of integration with existing ecosystems, comprehensive access control, and enterprise-grade security and governance. These capabilities align with UiPath's focus on agentic automation, combining AI, automation, and orchestration to enable agents to work and make decisions with minimal human input.
The prestigious position in the Leader category highlights UiPath's strong market presence and commitment to innovation. "UiPath has been positioned the highest in the Leader category due to its strong vision, continuous investments in product innovation and capability expansion, and increased market share," said Amardeep Modi, Vice President at Everest Group. "UiPath has seen strong YoY growth, focus on customer success and enablement, and continuous investments in M&As and strategic alliances for enabling a holistic intelligent automation solution, are some of the key factors that contributed to its position."
Graham Sheldon, Chief Product Officer at UiPath, shared his insights on the recognition, stating, "Guided by our vision to become the leading platform for agentic automation, UiPath is continuing to deliver transformational outcomes and drive innovation for our customers by helping them solve their most complex workflows and brand-new scenarios. I believe we earned our Leader position in the Everest Group Intelligent Automation Platforms PEAK Matrix Assessment 2024 because UiPath is best positioned to drive this transformation by providing the flexibility, scalability, orchestration, and trust to support the agentic automation of end-to-end workflows."
Recent innovations from the UiPath Platform include the Agent Builder, which is currently in private preview. This feature allows users to build and customise agents by choosing from prebuilt templates available in the UiPath Agent Catalog. Also introduced is 'Autopilot for Everyone', a cross-platform conversational agent designed to help employees enhance productivity through customisable prompts and extensive automation libraries, leveraging specialised AI models for specific tasks like document processing. Other new features include 'Autopilot for Testers' and 'Autopilot for Developers', both designed to streamline and enhance processes in software testing and development. The 'Autopilot for Apps' feature allows users to easily build forms using natural language text prompts.
UiPath has also launched the AI Trust Layer, designed for the governance of GenAI features and agents across the entire platform. This layer is tasked with providing comprehensive management, reporting, and controls. Additionally, the platform's 'Context Grounding' feature allows customers to interact with business-specific data, ensuring GenAI prompts are supplemented with the most relevant information, thus improving the accuracy and reliability of GenAI predictions.
