Tineco has cut prices on six cleaning appliances for Amazon Prime Day in Australia, with discounts of up to AUD $550 a unit.

The sale includes wet and dry floor cleaners, a stick vacuum and a carpet cleaner, sold through Amazon Australia. Most discounted prices range from AUD $559 to AUD $799, while two of the steepest cuts bring prices down to AUD $649 and AUD $659.

The biggest dollar reduction is on the Floor One Switch S7 Stretch, down AUD $550 from AUD $1,199 to AUD $649. Next is the Carpet One Cruiser, reduced by AUD $503 to AUD $659, followed by the Floor One S9 Artist, down AUD $500 to AUD $659.

Other offers include the Floor One i7 Stretch Steam at AUD $569, down from AUD $999; the Floor One S7 Master at AUD $799, down from AUD $1,099; and the Pure One Station 5 at AUD $559, down from AUD $799. Based on the listed prices, discounts range from 27% to 46%.

Product range

The promotion focuses on Tineco's floor care line, a category in which it says it has built a global presence. The company cites Euromonitor International research ranking it first worldwide by retail sales volume in household wet and dry vacuum cleaners for a fourth consecutive year.

Several of the discounted machines share common features, including Tineco's iLoop dirt-sensing system, which adjusts suction and water flow based on detected dirt levels, and self-cleaning functions that wash and dry rollers after use.

The Floor One S9 Artist is positioned as an all-in-one machine that vacuums and washes hard floors in a single pass. It has a 180-degree lay-flat design to reach under furniture and uses what Tineco calls SmoothDrive Technology to move around corners and in tight spaces.

The Floor One Switch S7 Stretch combines a floor washer and vacuum in a 5-in-1 format. Tineco says it uses a SwitchPro motor to switch between floor washing and vacuuming, while anti-tangle brush features are designed to handle hair and pet fur.

The Floor One S7 Master is the highest-priced item in the sale after discount, at AUD $799. Tineco says it delivers suction of up to 23,000Pa, has a 9.9cm body for reaching under low furniture and includes a green headlight to make dust more visible on hard floors.

Steam and carpet

Among the more specialised devices is the Floor One i7 Stretch Steam, which uses steam for floor cleaning. Tineco says it reaches temperatures of up to 140C and is designed to tackle grease, stains and sticky residue, while offering a quoted runtime of 80 minutes on a single charge.

The Carpet One Cruiser is aimed at carpeted surfaces rather than hard floors. According to the product details, it uses heated air at 75C to dry washed carpets and is intended to cut drying time by at least half compared with traditional models, while also including tools for spot cleaning.

In the stick vacuum segment, the Pure One Station 5 is the only non-wet floor machine in the line-up. It comes with a docking station that stores, charges and cleans the vacuum, with a full-path self-cleaning system for the internal air pathway and a 12-stage filtration system built into the station.

Pricing strategy

The pricing suggests Tineco is using the sales period to bring premium machines into the mid-market range. Three products that normally sell for AUD $1,199 are reduced to either AUD $649 or AUD $659, narrowing the gap between models designed for different floor-care tasks.

That approach may broaden appeal among shoppers comparing vacuum, hard-floor and carpet-cleaning devices during a concentrated discounting period. It also highlights how appliance brands are using headline price cuts to stand out on large online retail platforms.

Tineco says it was founded in 1998 and now sells appliances across floor care, kitchen and personal care categories. Its products are used by more than 23 million households and are available in about 30 countries.

The deepest percentage discount in the line-up is on the Floor One Switch S7 Stretch, listed at 46% off its previous price.
