Samsung unveils 115-inch Micro RGB TV in Australia for AUD $41,999

Mon, 27th Oct 2025

Samsung Australia has confirmed the pricing and availability of its first 115-inch Micro RGB R95 TV, which will be available nationwide for AUD $41,999.

The Micro RGB R95 TV is set to be sold both online and via leading retailers across Australia from 10 December 2025, offering a large-scale option for home display technology with significant advancements in colour reproduction and processing capability.

Display technology

According to Samsung, the 115-inch Micro RGB R95 TV utilises individually controlled red, green, and blue micro RGB LEDs, with each LED measuring less than 100μm in size-approximately half the size of a Mini LED. This new format allows for extremely fine control of colour and brightness across the display.

The TV is the first ultra-large model from Samsung to support 81 bit processing (27 bit for each colour component), a technology that is designed to deliver high levels of colour accuracy and realism to the viewing experience. The Micro RGB R95 has also received certification from VDE for Micro RGB Precision Colour, indicating verified standards in colour precision.

"In making Micro RGB display technology a reality for Australian consumers via the new Micro RGB R95 TV, Samsung is offering an ultra-large home cinema experience that goes beyond expectations by unlocking new levels of colour accuracy, contrast and immersive content experiences," said Simon Howe, Director - Audio Visual, Samsung Australia. "Supported by Vision AI and Samsung's Glare-Free technology, Micro RGB reinforces our commitment to provide a screen for virtually every experience, tailored to suit various needs."

Key features

Samsung highlights that the Micro RGB R95 incorporates its Micro RGB AI Engine, which uses artificial intelligence to optimise both picture and sound in real time. The engine is responsible for enhancing colour output and supporting Samsung's Vision AI capabilities, as well as R/G/B Colour LED local dimming. This is designed to produce a more vivid and lifelike image.

Additionally, the TV features Glare-Free technology, independently verified to reduce reflection and discomfort from glare. This is intended to enable comfortable viewing in a variety of indoor lighting environments.

The design of the TV follows a minimalistic approach, with a width of 35.7mm from top to bottom and a total weight of 90.5kg, making it the thinnest and lightest 115-inch or larger RGB TV available in Australia as of October 2025, according to Samsung.

Smart functions and user experience

The Micro RGB R95 also includes Samsung's Art Store, enabling users to display curated pieces of art using the TV's display technology, which is Pantone Validated for colour accuracy. Approximately 30 refreshed artworks are available monthly through the service, with over 70 ambient content selections accessible throughout the year.

The TV is secured by Samsung Knox security features and supports a 7-year Tizen OS Upgrade programme, which aims to keep devices up to date with security and software enhancements. Personalised viewing experiences can be further refined with Samsung Vision AI.

Additional built-in features include access to free content through Samsung TV Plus, console-free gaming via the Samsung Gaming Hub, and smart home integrations through SmartThings. These features require internet connectivity and a compatible Samsung account.

Market context

The 115-inch Micro RGB R95 TV enters the ultra-large and premium segment of the Australian television market, offering features distinct from preceding Mini LED and Mini RGB models. Samsung reports that, as of October 2025, its display utilises the smallest red, green and blue LEDs available in any LED TV.

Comparative measurements from Samsung note that the Micro RGB R95 is lighter and thinner than other large format TVs, such as the Hisense 116-inch RGB-Mini LED, which measures 40mm wide and weighs 102kg with its stand.

The Micro RGB R95 TV is listed for sale at AUD $41,999 and is intended to be available from 10 December 2025 via online and in-store channels across Australia.
