Prophet has appointed Lachie Trembath and Tong Wang to newly created senior roles following a sharp rise in its enterprise customer base.

Trembath joins the Australian decision intelligence company as Senior Marketing Science Partner, while Wang has been appointed Senior SysOps Engineer. The hires come after Prophet's enterprise customer numbers grew 309% over the past year, with new partnerships including Endeavour Group and Kraft Heinz.

The roles sit within Prophet's Decision Science and Engineering teams and reflect different pressures created by that growth. Trembath will work with enterprise customers to interpret model outputs and apply analysis to commercial decisions, while Wang will oversee cloud infrastructure, automation, incident response and operational controls.

The expansion also comes as Prophet increases its cloud footprint across multiple regions to improve user experience and help customers meet data residence and sovereignty requirements.

Trembath joins from Analytic Partners, where he spent nearly four years in marketing science and most recently served as Senior Marketing Science Analyst. His work included building and applying marketing mix models for large organisations seeking to measure the commercial impact of marketing spend.

Wang brings almost a decade of experience in cloud infrastructure and reliability engineering. His previous roles include Senior Platform Engineer at Block, DevOps Engineer at MYOB and Technical Analyst at Design Industries.

Rachel Scott, Head of Decision Science at Prophet, said Trembath's appointment would strengthen both technical capability and customer support in the division.

"Lachie brings deep expertise in marketing effectiveness, econometric modelling and commercial measurement to our team. His appointment strengthens both the technical capability and customer partnership side of our Decision Science division. Our clients increasingly want partners who can help them apply model outputs to real decisions. Lachie has a track record of translating complex modelling into practical business decisions, and significant experience working with large enterprise marketing teams, making him a good fit to support our growing customer base," Scott said.

Trembath said demand for experienced marketing science specialists had grown as more companies adopted modelling tools to test decisions before committing budgets.

"As more organisations adopt Prophet's unique digital clones to simulate commercial decisions before budgets are committed, demand has grown for experienced marketing scientists who can help customers interpret results, design experiments and apply insights across the business. I'm looking forward to partnering with Prophet customers throughout their decision-making journey, helping them understand how their digital clone works, identify opportunities for optimisation and build confidence in the commercial decisions they make," Trembath said.

Engineering growth

On the engineering side, each customer runs on isolated infrastructure, increasing the operational burden as new accounts are added. That model has led Prophet to place greater emphasis on automation, reliability and security as it scales.

Matthew Winter, Head of Engineering at Prophet, said Wang's appointment was a direct response to those demands.

"Every Prophet customer runs on their own isolated infrastructure. That's a real differentiator for security and performance, but it also means our operational standards have to rise with every customer we onboard. Tong is exactly the engineer for these demands. He automates rather than firefights, and he treats reliability and security as engineering problems rather than checklists. This is a growth hire, and it strengthens the foundation everything else is built on," Winter said.

Winter added: "Tong brings extensive experience operating Kubernetes environments at scale, together with an automation-first approach to infrastructure engineering. His background in cloud infrastructure, platform reliability and automation makes him an ideal fit to support that growth."

Wang said the role would focus on supporting the broader engineering team as the platform expands.

"I'm excited to join Prophet, particularly as it continues to scale globally. I enjoy building and operating highly available cloud platforms, automating infrastructure and improving operational efficiency. Joining a team solving these challenges at scale aligns with my experience and expertise. I'm looking forward to supporting the wider Prophet engineering team, allowing them to focus on product development while the platform underneath scales with confidence," Wang said.

Prophet launched in 2024 and says it now supports more than 40 brands across several industries. Its customer list includes BYD, MYOB, New Balance, Intrepid Travel and KitchenAid.

The appointments form part of a broader recruitment push over the past nine months across sales, recruitment and technology. Recent hires include developers Aysa Matueva and Ruxin Ma; sales team members Carl Clasio and Leo Roubos; Vice President of Sales and Partnerships James Sawyer; Talent Specialist Bec Geyer; marketing and decision science hires Lia Carruthers and Becky McMillan; and Scott as Head of Decision Science.

Prophet was also named the 2025 AFR BOSS Most Innovative Company in the Media and Marketing category.

Both appointments are effective immediately.
