ŌURA doubles revenue to USD $500 million as Oura Ring sales surge

Tue, 23rd Sep 2025

ŌURA has reported that sales of its Oura Ring wearable device have surpassed 5.5 million units, with the company also doubling its annual revenue for a second consecutive year.

The Oura Ring, launched in 2015, has seen accelerating demand, with over half of total sales occurring within just the past year. For 2024, ŌURA recorded revenue in excess of USD $500 million, more than twice the amount achieved during the previous year. The company expects this trajectory to continue, targeting USD $1 billion in sales by 2025, and maintaining a focus on expanding profitability.

ŌURA has strengthened its financial position by establishing a USD $250 million revolving credit facility in partnership with several global financial institutions, including JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Barclays, Citi, and Wells Fargo. This funding will be directed towards supporting working capital and future growth initiatives.

Growth in sales

"ŌURA has sold over 2.5 million rings since June 2024, reaching in just over a year what previously took the company eleven years to achieve since its founding in 2013," said Tom Hale, Chief Executive Officer of ŌURA. "This milestone is a testament to the incredible demand for our product, reflecting the value we deliver to Oura Members and the team's dedication to relentless innovation, effective marketing, and thoughtful expansion through retail and commercial partnerships."

ŌURA serves an international customer base in over 150 countries and has expanded retail availability to more than 4,000 locations in 20 countries. The Oura Ring also became the fastest-growing brand on Amazon in the United States over the past year, according to the company. In addition, the product has been made available as an eligible expense under health savings and flexible spending accounts in the US, broadening its accessibility. The company's commercial partnerships now include over 1,000 organisations worldwide, notably including American Express, which offers a benefit to US Consumer Platinum Card members purchasing the Oura Ring.

Member support and health insights

ŌURA aims to enable a proactive approach to personal health for its users. The company reports that 51 percent of Oura Ring members manage at least one chronic health condition, and that 11 percent of its user base consists of healthcare providers. According to ŌURA, these members benefit from the device's continuous health insights, designed to help understand patterns, inform lifestyle decisions and facilitate engagement with healthcare professionals.

Tom Hale also underlined the company's focus on supporting members throughout various life stages, from individuals planning to conceive, to women experiencing perimenopause, and those seeking to maintain health later in life. He stated that the company is "dedicated to empowering a proactive approach to health, supporting members through every stage of life - from couples planning to conceive or becoming new parents, to women experiencing perimenopause, and people seeking to age with strength and vitality."

Research and features

The company's foundation is based on scientific research, with more than thirty staff holding MD and PhD qualifications. These professionals are involved in driving research, advising on new hardware and software features, and collaborating with companies such as Essence Healthcare and Maven Clinic to extend the company's healthcare initiatives.

ŌURA continues to introduce new features for Oura Ring members. Recently, the product was updated with expanded women's health insights specific to pregnancy, new activity features, and tools focused on metabolic health. The Oura Ring provides over 50 health and wellness metrics continuously, and is used by an array of individual users as well as research teams and healthcare providers.
