Thu, 15th Feb 2024

The Clemenger Group's recently launched endeavour, MADE THIS, has bolstered its Creative Technology capabilities, appointing Marie-Celine Merret (MC) as its head. MC is an industry luminary, bringing an impressive track record to the role, including the establishment of Media.Monks in Australia and New Zealand alongside Vinne Schifferstein, the Managing Director of MADE THIS.

First unveiled via a successful launch late last year, MADE THIS specialises in craft and innovation within content production. The Clemenger Group was inspired to establish the outfit in response to the explosion in connected technology, which calls for savvy and scalable omnichannel content production. The company's mission is to push creativity, craft, and technology to their limits to produce brave experiences for Clemenger Group clients.

In her new role, MC will oversee an ambitiously wide-ranging suite of Creative Technology capabilities, from Experiential to Immersive storytelling, Gaming, AR & VR, XR, AI, and content automation. She brings an ample base of experience to the role, as her previous work includes a stint in New York with Media.Monks where she developed the immersive and emerging technology practice.

MC's innovative work won numerous accolades and included such feats as overseeing the creation of a three-storey interactive immersive kinetic sculpture in NYC’s Grand Central Terminal and directing ground-breaking work with Fake Love, a New York Times Experiential Design Agency. Her roles involved leading projects as challenging and unique as launching a sun-powered art sculpture on Hollywood Boulevard and organising the first immersive music concert for young deaf adults for 7Up.

Vinne Schifferstein warmly welcomed her to the MADE THIS team, declaring, "She’s one of the most forward-thinking can-do people in the industry that truly combines artistry with innovation. She's critical in our journey to help clients change the way their creative work is being made."

Iain Todd, General Manager - Operations at MADE THIS, mirrored Schifferstein’s enthusiasm, saying, "The production landscape is evolving faster than ever. Brands are demanding a relevant capability that can make work in new and exciting ways. And MC’s appointment gives us exactly that."

Further expressing her enthusiasm for the role, MC says, "I'm super excited to join MADE THIS to deliver on their mission and shape the next chapter in bringing more innovation-driven solutions to our clients. My background and passion are focused around creating work that evokes feelings and immerses people in unusual and astounding experiences all by blending sharp creativity and emerging technology, so this partnership is a perfect alignment!"

MADE THIS positions itself as a specialist production company where artistry intersects innovation. Its aim, according to the Clemenger Group, is to enable clients to achieve innovation that keeps them ahead of the curve, fostering meaningful connections between brands and their audiences.
