Kore.ai has appointed Uma Sandilya as Chief Commercial Officer, bringing the company's sales, marketing and strategy functions under one leader.

Sandilya joined Kore.ai as Chief Growth Officer and now takes charge of the global sales organisation, growth, marketing and corporate strategy. His remit spans teams in the Americas and international markets as the company reshapes its commercial structure around a single executive.

Two other senior appointments were announced alongside the change. Rajavardhan Nalluri becomes Chief Customer Operations Officer, reporting to Chief Executive Officer Raj Koneru, while Peter Mullen will oversee an expanded integrated demand generation organisation as Chief Marketing Officer.

The appointments follow a period of growth for the enterprise AI software provider, which says it supports more than 500 large enterprises worldwide and its platform handles more than 11 billion interactions a year.

Commercial shift

Kore.ai is reorganising its commercial operations as corporate buyers expand AI spending from departmental projects to broader deployments. Purchasing decisions are increasingly being made at Chief Information Officer level and cover the full lifecycle of AI agents rather than individual tools.

That shift in buying behaviour has led the company to give one executive oversight from sales through to delivered value. Sandilya brings more than two decades of enterprise AI experience, including roles at C3.ai and McKinsey.

Raj Koneru explained the reasoning behind the change.

"Enterprise AI is entering its third wave, where governance, observability, and trust define success at scale," said Raj Koneru, Founder and CEO, Kore.ai.

"The next phase of our growth requires a commercial organization built the way we built our platform: one foundation with one accountable owner. Uma has shaped our commercial engine since the day he joined, and he is the right leader to run it end to end," Koneru said.

Sandilya described the commercial task as helping customers move from experimentation to broader operational use.

"Enterprises stopped asking whether to deploy AI agents and started asking who will run them responsibly at scale," said Uma Sandilya, Chief Commercial Officer, Kore.ai.

"That question gets answered by a platform, not a point product, and it gets sold by one team accountable for the outcome. My mandate is to make every Kore.ai customer a production customer," Sandilya said.

Customer operations

Nalluri's new role brings together forward-deployed engineering, customer support, cloud operations and infrastructure. He has spent more than 11 years at Kore.ai and worked across several phases of the company's growth while dealing directly with customers in multiple industries.

The customer operations unit is intended to improve deployment consistency, support and partner enablement as clients put more AI systems into use. It also places greater emphasis on measurable customer satisfaction, suggesting Kore.ai sees delivery and support as increasingly important in a more competitive enterprise AI software market.

Mullen's expanded demand generation remit also points to a tighter link between marketing and sales under the new structure. By consolidating those functions with strategy under Sandilya, Kore.ai is following a model some software companies use when they want a single executive responsible for revenue growth and market positioning.

Platform backdrop

The management changes follow the launch of the Artemis edition of the Kore.ai Agent Platform, which the company presented as its next-generation offering. Kore.ai has also pointed to recognition from Gartner and Forrester, where it was placed as a Leader in several conversational AI-related evaluations.

Those analyst placements and the Artemis launch form the backdrop to the executive reshuffle. They also reflect the company's effort to present itself as a broader platform provider rather than a seller of single-purpose AI tools.

Kore.ai says its platform is designed to build, deploy, manage and optimise enterprise AI agents within one system, with governance controls set before agents go live. That focus on governance and auditability has become a central argument among AI software vendors seeking large corporate customers that need oversight, compliance and operational control.

The latest appointments indicate Kore.ai is aligning its internal structure with that pitch to the market. Sandilya now leads the front-end commercial organisation, while Nalluri takes charge of customer delivery and operations, creating clearer lines of accountability as the company seeks wider enterprise adoption.
