Intuit debuts AI-native Accountant Suite in Australia
Intuit has launched Intuit Accountant Suite in Australia, a platform for accounting firms that combines client work, practice operations and AI-driven analysis in a single product.
Intuit is positioning the suite as an "AI-native" system built around embedded AI agents and connected data. It is aimed at firms facing capacity pressure and growing demand for advisory work alongside compliance obligations.
Intuit research shows 83% of accountants already use AI in some form and 70% of firms struggle with capacity. The suite brings together client management, collaboration, service delivery, business planning and team management.
Meagan Wood, Principal Product Marketer at Intuit, said: "With 83% of accountants already using AI, the Intuit Accountant Suite helps firms move beyond basic efficiency into strategic growth. Our 2025 Intuit Growth and Marketing Maturity Benchmark report reveals that high-growth practices are twice as likely to be strategic advisors to their clients, yet 70% of all firms struggle with capacity. We built this platform to turn technology into a competitive advantage, helping firms automate manual tasks and deliver the high-value insights their clients need."
The product is designed to surface questions firms often answer manually through reporting and reconciliation. It can respond to queries such as identifying the most profitable clients or highlighting under-utilised team members. It also generates firm-wide and client-specific reports and dashboards using Intuit data, client information and third-party sources.
Core modules
Intuit Accountant Suite includes five core modules: client management, client collaboration, service delivery, business planning and team management. It uses a single sign-in and consolidates client files in one place, reducing the need for data exports and multiple logins across tools.
The suite includes a custom dashboard for each team member, where users can set up tasks, reminders and AI-powered insights. It also offers role-based access controls, with configurable roles and permissions across accounting, bookkeeping and payroll.
Each firm is assigned a unique client number for searching, tracking and billing. Intuit said this reduces manual work for firms managing large client books and multiple services.
Intuit also highlighted performance and scalability, saying the underlying infrastructure is designed to stay responsive as client volumes rise. No technical specifications or benchmarks were provided.
Beta features
Two features are in beta. "Books Close at Scale" uses templates and progress tracking to standardise review and close processes across clients. "AI-powered Client Insights" provides firm-wide analytics and benchmarking that highlight trends, according to Intuit.
Early user Infinance Solutions described the launch as a shift in how firms organise work. Tish Bhagwandeen, founder and director, said: "The shift from desktop to cloud completely changed how we ran our practice. Now we're at the next big shift with agentic AI and the Intuit Accountant Suite. This isn't just about speed; it's about working smarter. It helps us streamline workflows and manage resources, freeing up time to focus on what really matters: our people and our client relationships. I'm genuinely excited about how it's reshaping the future of accounting."
What comes next
Intuit plans to add more AI-powered tools and automations in the coming months, focusing on capacity planning, productivity, accuracy, decision-making and collaboration. It also outlined collaboration tools in development, including document sharing, integrated web-conferencing, meeting scheduling and AI note-taking.
The company also outlined planned AI-powered analysis and anomaly detection features to monitor client portfolios, identify financial trends and flag anomalies across areas such as accounts payable.
Pricing approach
Intuit Accountant Suite is currently available at no cost for Australia-based accounting firms. Future pricing will depend on functionality and market conditions, Intuit said.
The Australian launch extends Intuit's product line for finance and marketing software, including TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks and Mailchimp. Intuit said the Accountant Suite will continue to evolve as new tools and automations are added over the coming months.
