Bridgit appoints new CCO & expands distribution team
Bridgit has appointed Stephen Doyle as Chief Commercial Officer as part of a series of new appointments.
Stephen Doyle will oversee Bridgit's commercial programme, concentrating on broadening and diversifying the company's distribution channels. Bridgit's national distribution team, which has expanded significantly over the past year, will support him in these efforts. The first few months of 2025 saw the number of Bridgit loans funded grow threefold compared to the same period in 2024.
In addition to Doyle's appointment, Bridgit has also added three Business Development Managers to its state-based distribution team, responding to an increased demand. Natalie Viney, Oleg Mazkovoi, and Jamie Stevenson will join the team immediately. Their diverse backgrounds and extensive experience in the mortgage and finance sectors are expected to enhance Bridgit's service offerings.
Natalie Viney transitions to Bridgit from Connective, where she has over 15 years of experience as a financial adviser and mortgage broker. Her focus has been on improving broker experiences and identifying growth opportunities. Oleg Mazkovoi, previously with SCM Financial Group, brings a decade of experience in building broker relationships and devising lending solutions. Jamie Stevenson, joining from Hejaz, has worked in business development roles across major financial institutions including CommBank, HSBC, and Westpac.
Aaron Bassin, CEO of Bridgit, commented on the appointments: "Stephen has played a pivotal role in driving Bridgit's rapid growth in the broker channel. As Chief Commercial Officer, he'll ensure this momentum continues, expanding our reach and further diversifying our distribution strategy. "
Bassin added, "After a significant period of growth in 2024 and the success of our white-label partnerships with Connective and Finsure, Stephen will focus on keeping Bridgit at the forefront of innovation in the non-bank lending space, unlocking this through third party engagements. We are lucky to have Stephen as part of our executive team, as we look to continue on our growth trajectory."
Commenting on the new appointments to the distribution team, Bassin said, "Oleg, Natalie and Jamie, will be warmly welcomed to our state-based distribution team. They bring a wealth of expertise in building broker relationships, allowing us to offer even more personalised and local support, unlocking new opportunities for brokers and their clients."
Stephen Doyle also shared his enthusiasm for the role: "I'm excited to take on this new position and help lead Bridgit through its next growth phase. Bridgit has been on an incredible trajectory, embedding itself as the go-to for innovative, flexible and accessible bridging solutions that meet the needs of brokers and their clients."
He further elaborated, "The number of accredited brokers on the Bridgit platform doubled in the last year, and with the addition of Natalie, Oleg and Jamie to our team, we're well positioned to service ever-increasing demand and continue this momentum, building deeper connections within the market and supporting brokers in offering exceptional value to their clients."
