BillingPlatform has been named the Overall Leader and classified as an "Exemplary Vendor" in the 2025 Revenue Recognition Buyers Guide by ISG, a global technology and research firm focusing on artificial intelligence.
Recognition criteria
ISG evaluated 18 revenue recognition vendors for its latest guide. The assessment highlights BillingPlatform's performance in multiple areas including Usability, Customer Experience, Product Experience, Capability, and Total Cost of Ownership/Return on Investment (TCO/ROI), where it achieved the highest scores among all vendors.
The guide defines revenue recognition applications as those supporting diverse pricing models, including subscription and usage; enabling a range of product, service, and event-driven rules; providing automation and straight-through processing; integrating with accounting systems; offering insights and analytics; and generating auditing reports.
Growth in digital revenue management
ISG underlines the rising importance of revenue recognition within revenue lifecycle management amid the "rapid rise of digital products and services, new direct online engagement channels and mixed pricing models such as subscription and consumption." This wider adoption of complex pricing models has raised the demand for robust revenue recognition solutions to address evolving enterprise requirements.
Stephen Hurrell, Director of Research, Office of Revenue, ISG Software Research & Advisory, commented on BillingPlatform's recognition, stating:
"As key component of the quote-to-revenue lifecycle, revenue recognition plays a critical role as enterprises increasingly leverage multiple pricing models resulting in revenue that gets recognised over time. Based on our analysis, BillingPlatform is the leader in Revenue Recognition given its rich set of features, user experience and proven ability to deliver customer value."
The ISG Buyers Guides are designed to provide enterprises with a balanced perspective of software providers and products, rooted in understanding business requirements. An "Exemplary Vendor" in this context is the best at meeting overall Product and Customer Experience criteria for enterprise clients. In addition to this accolade, BillingPlatform was also named Overall Leader in Billing and a Leader in Revenue Lifecycle Management in other ISG Buyers Guide reports.
