Xero appoints Angad Soin as MD for Australia & New Zealand
Xero has announced Angad Soin as its new Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand while he continues his role as Global Chief Strategy Officer.
The appointment is aimed at bolstering Xero's operations in its largest market, aligning with the company's strategic priorities. Angad Soin will report to Ashley Hansen Grech, Chief Revenue Officer, and will handle the region's strategy, revenue, and customer engagement. In this dual capacity, he will maintain his position on Xero's Executive Leadership Team.
In a statement, Ashley Hansen Grech remarked, "Angad's background and experience, including working with me to evolve our go-to-market capabilities, makes him the right fit for this role. I'm excited to work with Angad as we further strengthen Xero in ANZ for our customers, partners, people and our stakeholders."
Sharing his enthusiasm for the new role, Angad Soin commented, "Xero is an iconic company with strong roots and an incredible future in ANZ. I'm excited to lead this strategically important region for Xero and continue to drive growth while deepening our customer relationships. Getting out to connect with our customers and partners is my first priority and I look forward to doing that over the coming months."
Angad Soin's addition complements the existing leadership team in Australia and New Zealand, which includes Bridget Snelling, Country Manager for New Zealand, and Theo Konstantas, Sales Director for Australia. Both continue in their current positions and will report to Angad.
Angad joined Xero in 2021, initially serving as Executive General Manager in the strategy team. In February 2023, he was promoted to Global Chief Strategy Officer, where he led the development of Xero's global strategy and enhanced operational excellence. Prior to joining Xero, he spent 13 years at Deloitte, where he worked across various roles assisting global clients with strategy development, including areas such as pricing, transformation, and go-to-market strategies.
