Simon Rollenbeck joins Komo Technologies as marketing head
Komo Technologies, an Australian Customer Engagement platform, has appointed Simon Rollenbeck as the new Head of Marketing. Rollenbeck joins Komo following his tenancy as Chief Marketing Officer at Mozaik Play. His previous experience includes leading the marketing team of Egencia, Expedia's corporate travel division, across the Asia Pacific region, and serving as Director of Digital & Demand Marketing at Microsoft partner company Willow.
Rollenbeck has distinguished himself in the industry as a data-driven marketing specialist who places a focus on growth and customer retention. With local and international experience to draw on, Komo Technologies expects that he will help shape the brand's position, facilitate demand generation and steer the company's overall Go To Market strategy. His position at Komo has him working closely with CCO Brent Kocher, based in Los Angeles, and CEO Joel Steel, leading their global marketing efforts to foster growth in Australia and the USA.
Joel Steel, Komo CEO and Co-Founder, spoke highly of Rollenbeck's credentials, stating, "Simon's strategic expertise and experience in the B2B SaaS marketing space are pivotal for advancing Komo's brand, demand generation, and Go-To-Market strategy. Simon's passion for creativity and forward-thinking aligns perfectly with our company's culture, and we are excited to see the impact he will have on our global growth strategy."
Having accrued more than eight years of leadership experience, working with both start-ups and Fortune 500 companies, Rollenbeck is set to bring his expertise to Komo Technologies. Acknowledging the importance of direct customer relationships for brand relevancy, he is keen to make an impact at Komo. In his own words, "Komo solves this problem for all marketers across all industries. It makes it easy to build direct customer connections through meaningful experiences, respectful data collection, and continuous engagement. The technology is next level and is an absolute no-brainer for all marketers who want to engage with their customers, non-intrusively collect rich data and drive measurable ROI."
As the Head of Marketing, Rollenbeck will lead Komo's strategic marketing planning efforts and manage the brand's voice, look and feel. His responsibilities cover a broad range. This includes heading the development of a new content hub featuring thought leadership, video, paid ads, whitepapers, and case studies playbooks, as well as managing product information with his product peers. He will also be leading the performance strategies and campaigns on paid media, tracking conversions across all channels, and supporting PR and media outreach efforts across all regions.
The appointment follows a period of two years of significant growth for Komo, during which they expanded their team by 13 since 2023 and grew their presence into the US. Komo has also gained significant new business wins from brands and agencies like Seven Network, Disney, NRL, KFC, Live Nation, Sony, Tennis Australia, Heineken, Foxtel Group, McDonald's, among others.
