Publicis Sapient acquires Spinnaker SCA to boost digital supply chain capabilities

Today, Publicis Sapient, Publicis Groupe's digital business transformation company, announced its acquisition of Spinnaker SCA. The latter is renowned for providing an extensive range of supply chain strategy, planning, and execution consulting services. This move aims to strengthen Publicis Groupe's competitiveness in agile digital supply chain transformation and help it serve its clients more efficiently.

Spinnaker SCA will equip Publicis Sapient to further enhance its capabilities in agile digital supply chain transformation. The core capacities and skills that Spinnaker SCA will bring to the table include supply chain management and process improvement, supply chain design and analytics, supply chain planning, omni-channel order management, and supply chain execution. Moreover, Spinnaker SCA's offerings will add to Publicis Sapient's capabilities concerning advanced AI/ML analytics, digital twins for supply chains, data solutions, warehouse management, transportation management, and expanded digital sustain services.

Established in 2002 in Boulder, CO, Spinnaker SCA designs and cements agile supply chains for established brands across several sectors including Consumer Staples, High Tech, Industrial Manufacturing, Retail and Apparel, Medical Devices, and Distribution Industries. This acquisition is certain to leverage the vast experience of Spinnaker SCA in driving measurable enhancements in supply chain management and Publicis Sapient's prowess in agile digital supply chain transformation, effectively unlocking value for organisations throughout the supply chain ecosystem.

Publicis Sapient's CEO, Nigel Vaz, expressed his anticipation for Spinnaker SCA's integration into the business. He cited the latter as a supply chain industry leader whose end-to-end approach to supply chain consulting would allow Publicis Sapient to offer more comprehensive solutions to their clients, facilitating them in optimising their agile supply chains as a part of their digital business transformation. He further stated: "Spinnaker SCA's strong leadership team, vision, deep expertise, and client roster, coupled with the cultural synergies between our two organisations, will enable us to drive even greater impact for existing clients and attract new business as we scale."

As part of the deal, Spinnaker SCA CEO John Sharkey, along with his team, will form the cornerstone of a new digital supply chain practice at Publicis Sapient.
