LG unveils 5 Garment TrueSteam Styler for smart home care
LG Electronics Australia has introduced the LG 5 Garment TrueSteam Styler to the Australian market, offering new features in home garment care.

The LG 5 Garment TrueSteam Styler is a steam closet appliance designed for garment care, with the capacity to hold five garments and one pair of pants. It is available in Mirror Black and Forest Green finishes, and comes equipped with a smart LCD touch display. The Mirror Black model further offers a built-in HandySteamer, which is a high-pressure steam gun for targeted wrinkle removal and garment refreshment.
The new product utilises DUAL TrueSteam technology, designed to reduce wrinkles and allergens on clothing by using pure steam. The Styler's Inverter HeatPump drying system avoids direct heating and tumbling, which helps preserve fabric shape and is suited to delicate items such as wool, silk, and cashmere, as well as other garments like shoes and plush toys.
Garment care technology
In addition to steam and drying systems, the LG Styler incorporates the AutoFresh System, which circulates air and dehumidifies the area surrounding the appliance to prevent mustiness and maintain freshness for both clothing and the room.
The device's control options include a smart LCD touch panel and compatibility with the LG ThinQ app, which allows users to remotely operate the appliance, download specialised programs, and monitor energy consumption.

The LG 5 Garment TrueSteam Styler is currently available for purchase at an RRP of AUD $3,499. The SC5MBH (Mirror Black) has dimensions of 600 x 1960 x 605 mm and weighs 94 kg, while the SC5FG (Forest Green) measures 600 x 1965 x 620 mm and weighs 90 kg. Both models support Wi-Fi connectivity through the LG ThinQ app and include features such as the EZ Fit PantsPress, Dynamic MovingHanger, delay-start options, and two years product warranty with eight years parts coverage on the motor and compressor.
The Styler is also presented as suitable for renters and renovators who may not be able to install plumbed-in appliances. LG intends for the product's design to complement both subtle and bold interior styles, offering flexibility for those who wish their appliance to blend in or stand out within the home.
