LearnUpon boosts APAC growth with AI course platform

Tue, 17th Mar 2026

LearnUpon is expanding in Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region, with plans to move to a new Sydney headquarters and integrate an AI-focused course authoring product following its acquisition of Courseau.

The learning management system provider has seen increased demand across APAC and is investing locally as it builds out sales, customer support and regional leadership. Its Sydney operation supports more than 100 customers across the region, including Healthcare Australia, WorkPac and Jetpilot.

Course Creation

A central element of LearnUpon's product roadmap is Courseau, an “AI-native” course authoring platform acquired in 2025. A fully integrated version will be available within LearnUpon under the name Create+.

Course authoring remains a common constraint for learning teams, particularly when subject matter experts need to turn internal knowledge into formal training that can be delivered at scale. Courseau is designed to address that content bottleneck by helping experts build self-serve learning experiences faster than traditional production approaches.

“Our mission has always been to help organisations unlock the power of learning,” said Brendan Noud, CEO of LearnUpon. “By integrating Courseau's AI-native authoring directly into the LearnUpon ecosystem, we're removing the biggest barrier our customers face: the speed of content creation. This acquisition is a testament to our commitment to the APAC region and our global vision of making high-impact learning effortless to deliver.”

Sydney Expansion

LearnUpon's expansion in Australia follows the appointment of Fiona Sweeney as Director for APAC in mid-2024. The company reported an 80% increase in local headcount over the past two years as it adds staff to meet customer demand and support regional growth.

In May, LearnUpon plans to move into larger premises at JustCo Sydney. The new office is intended as a collaborative hub for the local workforce as the company expands regional coverage and support services.

LearnUpon positions its platform as a single system for multiple audiences, including internal employee training, external customer education and association or member learning. Customers are looking for one platform that can scale across these use cases as requirements change.

“By providing a single platform for the Extended Enterprise, we enable Australian businesses to educate their staff, empower their customers, and add value to their partners simultaneously,” said Fiona Sweeney, Director for APAC, LearnUpon. “The feedback from our local customers has been clear: they need a partner that can handle the complexity of global training while providing the local intimacy and support that our Sydney team delivers.”

Partners And Integrations

LearnUpon is also emphasising partnerships and integrations that connect learning with other business systems. It has strengthened its reseller relationship with Go1, which provides access to a large catalogue of digital learning content.

It also highlighted integrations with HubSpot, BambooHR and Degreed. These connections link learning activity and data with existing HR and CRM workflows that many organisations use to manage employee records, customer engagement and internal reporting.

The combination of a larger office, local hiring and product integration suggests LearnUpon expects sustained demand for structured online training across APAC. Create+ is expected to be available within the LearnUpon platform soon.
