With nearly two decades of experience steering sales teams in high-profile technology companies such as Salesforce, Conga, Intuit and Slack, Mongroo is expected to significantly boost the growth trajectory of the company.
In his new role, Mongroo will be spearheading the North American sales teams and will be developing new growth strategies for the region. The appointment marks a critical moment for WP Engine as WordPress adoption continues to flourish across varying sectors including SMB (small and medium-sized businesses) and Enterprise.
Drawing from his vast experience at industry-defining technology institutions, Mongroo's resume boasts successful stints with clients ranging from large corporations to start-ups hailing from numerous sectors. His most recent engagement was with Slack as Vice President of Commercial Sales.
Mongroo witnessed first-hand the confluence of self-serve, product-led, and sales-led growth at Slack, providing him with a distinct viewpoint on go-to-market strategies as he contributed to the company's escalation from their initial $100M to beyond $1B.
As SVP of Sales at WP Engine, his role involves leading a skilled team of over 100 sales professionals to consult and advise innovative solutions for the creation, enhancement, and management of diverse WordPress experiences for large brands as well as SMBs.
