Ingram Micro aligns with AWS to boost cloud services

Today

Ingram Micro has announced a Strategic Collaboration Agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) aimed at enhancing technology and services for channel partners.

The multi-year agreement is designed to boost business through the global IT channel via Ingram Micro's platform, Xvantage.

This collaboration offers channel partners access to AWS Marketplace through Xvantage and focuses on integrating AWS solutions to improve technical delivery and enablement capabilities.

The agreement highlights Ingram Micro's focus on enhancing its professional services capabilities on a global scale. The company is capitalising on its AWS Migration Competency to expand cloud assessment and migration services worldwide.

Additionally, Ingram Micro aims to enhance its Advisory and Optimisation services, which now incorporate AWS's Well-Architected Framework to help partners optimise AWS environments and improve operational efficiency. This development also includes services in generative AI, analytics, and architecture, leveraging AWS tools such as Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker to foster AI model development and data warehousing.

Further, the agreement aims to support Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and channel partners in deploying Channel Partner Private Offers (CPPOs) and working through AWS Marketplace to extend these to end customers.

Ingram Micro plans to enable ISVs to list offerings at scale and support channel partners in building and listing their service offerings across various industries, including retail, healthcare, finance, and government.

Jeremiah Jenson, Global Leader, Channel Resell, AWS, commented, "AWS and Ingram Micro are successfully executing and expanding our relationship at a global level — helping our channel partners and their customers take advantage of all AWS has to offer. This new agreement will allow us to exceed the expectations of our channel and empower them with the resources and technology needed to move more organisations to the cloud."

The collaboration is positioned to significantly impact Ingram Micro's operations in the APAC, North America, Latin America, and EMEA regions. Tim Ament, Senior Vice President and Country Chief Executive for Ingram Micro Australia and New Zealand, remarked, "Ingram Micro Australia and New Zealand are dedicated to empowering our customers to navigate the complexities of hybrid IT environments. Our strategic investments and leadership within the AWS ecosystem locally have been pivotal in supporting our partners. We are committed to enhancing our partners' capabilities in technical delivery and enablement by bringing in advanced technical resources. This helps our partners leverage the full potential of AWS solutions, driving innovation and growth. This SCA showcases not only our partnership with AWS, but also our commitment to support our partners."

Victor Baez, Senior Vice President, Global Vendor Engagement, Ingram Micro, added, "Ingram Micro and AWS are focused on accelerating the service capabilities of channel partners across the globe with AWS."

"We've built a successful relationship with AWS over the years and are excited about our new agreement and the business opportunity and service enablement skills it brings to our channel partners."

Ingram Micro Vice President of Global Partnerships, Duncan Robinson, encourages channel partners to engage and utilise the resources provided by Ingram Micro.

"When a channel partner sees a gap in their capabilities, bandwidth, or knowledge, or isn't sure how to grow, we want them to call on Ingram Micro," he said. "The investments we're making in AWS are amplified within our Ingram Micro Xvantage platform and empower the success of our channel partners—allowing them to do more and be more for their customers. By expanding our relationship with AWS, Ingram Micro is elevating the channel partner experience and fortifying our expertise around AWS."
