Australia Post campaign boosts Parcel Locker rewards
Australia Post has launched a national campaign with online retailers The ICONIC and Oz Hair and Beauty that promotes secure and flexible parcel deliveries through Parcel Lockers.
The three companies will promote Parcel Lockers across their digital and physical channels. The campaign targets shoppers during the peak end-of-year trading period.
The offer provides a $10 bonus reward for customers who select an Australia Post Parcel Locker at checkout. Customers redeem the bonus at the original place of purchase.
Front Row members of The ICONIC loyalty programme can access the offer until 31 December 2025. Oz Hair and Beauty customers can access the offer until 21 December 2025.
Australia Post is promoting the campaign across its Post Office network. It is featuring partner messages on screens in branches across the country and on selected Parcel Locker sites in metropolitan Sydney.
The ICONIC and Oz Hair and Beauty are promoting the offer on their websites and marketing channels. The activity includes prompts at checkout, website banners, targeted emails and social media posts.
Focus on delivery choice
Australia Post Executive General Manager Parcel, Post and eCommerce Services, Gary Starr, said the partnership aligns with recent work with other retailers. He said it reflects a focus on customer choice in delivery.
"Online shoppers want choice, control and confidence when receiving parcels. By partnering with leading retailers like The ICONIC and Oz Hair and Beauty, we can spotlight convenient delivery options and make receiving a parcel even smoother during the busiest time of year," said Mr Starr.
Australia Post has worked with several eCommerce brands in recent years on delivery initiatives. The organisation is seeking deeper links with online retailers as parcel volumes grow.
The new campaign emphasises secure delivery away from the doorstep. Parcel Lockers offer an alternative to home delivery for customers who are not at home or who prefer not to receive parcels at their address.
Customers can collect, return or send parcels from Parcel Lockers. The network covers about 1,000 locations across Australia.
Retail partnerships
The campaign underscores the growing role of logistics firms in online retail marketing. Shippers and retailers are linking logistics products with checkout incentives and loyalty schemes.
The ICONIC is one of Australia's largest online fashion and lifestyle platforms. Oz Hair and Beauty sells haircare, skincare and beauty products online.
Both retailers rely on delivery reliability during peak shopping periods. Their websites feature options that allow shoppers to pick collection points as well as home delivery.
Australia Post said the collaboration supports its position as a delivery partner for major retailers. The organisation is seeking a central role in how consumers choose delivery options on retailer sites.
The campaign may also raise consumer awareness of Parcel Lockers in areas where they are less familiar. Locker locations include shopping centres, petrol stations and other public sites as well as Post Offices.
Parcel infrastructure
Australia Post has invested in its parcel infrastructure as letter volumes have fallen. The organisation delivered more than 2.2 billion items in the last financial year to 12.8 million delivery points across the country.
It operates more than 4,000 Post Offices and manages an extended workforce of more than 64,000 people. The network covers metropolitan, regional and remote communities.
Parcel Lockers form part of this broader network. They provide self-service collection and drop-off points that operate outside standard Post Office hours.
The new campaign links that infrastructure with retailer loyalty programmes. It also connects the locker network with promotional offers for online shoppers.
Australia Post has signalled that more retailer partnerships are likely. The organisation is working with other eCommerce brands on expanded flexible delivery options and on its role as a preferred delivery partner.
