Pattern launches service to boost Australian Amazon sales
Pattern has announced the introduction of Pattern Recovery, a new service aimed at assisting Australian brands in optimising their Amazon marketplace presence.
With Amazon being Australia's most popular online marketplace, brands have the opportunity to reach a broad customer base. However, the complexities and extensive functionalities of Amazon can pose challenges for brands, potentially leading to missed revenue opportunities. Pattern Recovery aims to help both first-party (1P) and third-party (3P) Australian sellers on Amazon identify and recover, on average, up to 6% of any missed revenue over a retrospective period of five years.
Merline McGregor, Managing Director at Pattern, stated, "Most Australian brands currently struggle to navigate all the moving parts that come with selling on Amazon. This leads to errors resulting in repeated missed opportunities for revenue relating to overcharges, misapplied fees and inventory recovery. Working on behalf of Australian brands, Pattern Recovery can identify and recover up to 70% of these missed revenue opportunities and back-date them as far as five years. This ensures brands can gain back profits that would otherwise have been a loss and optimise processes to safeguard profitability into the future."
McGregor further highlighted the effectiveness of the service, sharing that, "Optimisation and recovery efforts have led to some impressive revenue gains. One first-party Amazon vendor in Australia had 19,300 disputes made on its behalf for both new and old fees dating back five years. This achieved a $216,000 recovery."
Pattern Recovery conducts an extensive review of all Amazon transactions for its clients, identifying missed revenue opportunities and addressing them efficiently. This detailed analysis helps improve current profitability and provides valuable insights for brands to refine and optimise their operations, thereby increasing future revenue. Furthermore, the service includes root cause analysis and supply chain coaching to prevent future errors.
The company's approach integrates seamlessly with Amazon's strengths by turning potential missed opportunities into operational improvements and profit gains. By providing continuous support, Pattern Recovery aligns strategic insights and operational guidance with Amazon's best practices, allowing vendors to maximise profitability without disrupting their business operations.
"In today's ecommerce environment, it is more crucial than ever for brands to optimise every aspect of their operations to drive profitability - they cannot afford unnecessary losses or inefficiencies. By ensuring that all areas of the business, including Amazon marketplace operations, are operating at peak efficiency, brands can not only safeguard their bottom line but also position themselves for sustainable growth. It's about being proactive, tightening the ship, and making every dollar count to build future strength," added McGregor.
