HCLTech & Transport for NSW extend partnership to 2028

HCLTech and Transport for NSW have announced an extension of their partnership to improve transport services and experiences in New South Wales over the next five years.

The collaboration aims to support Transport for NSW in executing its Transport Technology Strategy and Future Transport Technology Roadmap. These initiatives are designed to enhance customer experiences and streamline operations, benefitting the numerous daily users of the state's transport infrastructure.

Key areas of focus identified for technology development over the next decade include customer information and payments, operational technologies, emerging technologies, and sustainable enterprise systems. These priorities aim to produce effective outcomes, as seen with projects like the Sydney Metro and the new Western Sydney Airport metro railway. The enhancements are expected to serve as essential transit links within Greater Sydney, connecting essential hubs, including the Western Sydney International Airport.

The new agreement with HCLTech includes the provision of end-to-end managed services for Transport for NSW's critical business and operational applications, alongside platforms and cloud operations, ensuring embedded security. The partnership encompasses continuous improvements, leveraging AI and automation innovations and major enhancement services, ultimately creating a resilient and secure application and platform landscape.

Sonia Eland, Executive President and Country Manager of Australia and New Zealand at HCLTech, remarked, "Our partnership with Transport for NSW is a significant win for HCLTech not just in Australia but within the APAC region. The engagement will see HCLTech manage over 260 applications on behalf of Transport."
