The discount variety store Cheap as Chips, is streamlining operations in 51 Australian stores by leveraging SOTI MobiControl. The prominent solution was identified and implemented by RetailCare to help tackle the complexities of managing a dispersed workforce and maintaining an inventory of mobile devices.

Daniel Whittle, Head of Technology at Cheap as Chips, revealed the practical difficulties they encountered while managing and maintaining mobile devices used by store associates for inventory management and customer service, especially due to the logistic challenges exhibited by the remote locations of their stores. This is especially crucial considering the high importance placed on preserving the security of customer data and sensitive business information in retail. Moreover, the management tool allows Cheap as Chips to control and monitor, alerting if a device was removed or moved.
