Adyen partners with HEYTEA for global payment expansion

Today

Global payments platform Adyen has formed a partnership with HEYTEA to facilitate its international expansion across the United States, United Kingdom, Singapore, and Australia.

HEYTEA, known for its new-style tea and the popular cheese tea, aims to make use of Adyen's unified commerce platform and global acquiring network to manage payments both in-store and online. This will enable faster, smoother transactions as the company broadens its presence.

Customers of HEYTEA will be able to access localised payment options, such as WeChat Pay, directly through the HEYTEA app. This integration offers a seamless checkout experience that aligns with familiar customer preferences.

With over 4,300 outlets spanning 300 cities globally, HEYTEA's swift growth necessitates a strong and scalable payment infrastructure. Adyen's technology supports this requirement, allowing HEYTEA to expand into new markets efficiently while maintaining secure payment processes.

A spokesperson for HEYTEA commented, "Adyen's technology allows us to seamlessly deliver on our mission to deliver a modern tea experience to customers globally. Adyen's fast processing and support of a wide range of local payment methods, allow us to focus on delighting customers without worrying about payment complexities."

Warren Hayashi, President of Asia-Pacific at Adyen, stated, "Adyen is proud to partner with HEYTEA as it brings its iconic 'new-style tea' to customers around the globe. Expanding into new markets presents both opportunities and challenges, and we're proud that HEYTEA has trusted Adyen to power its global growth."
