HP unveils new Latex printer, productivity kit & workflow hub

Thu, 16th Oct 2025

HP has introduced three new products aimed at large format print service providers, including a new printer, a productivity upgrade kit, and enhancements to its workflow software suite.

Product launch

The new offerings include the HP Latex FS70 W Printer, the HP Latex Productivity Kit, and an enhanced HP PrintOS Production Hub. These supplement earlier additions to HP's portfolio this year: the HP Latex R530 Printer, and the HP Latex 730 and 830 Printer Series.

HP states that these launches are intended to support mid- to large-size print service providers (PSPs) who must optimise operational efficiency, manage high production costs, and scale to address higher-value applications. The company has designed its solutions around the need for improved workflow efficiency, long-term investment protection, and sustainability in clients' businesses.

FS70 W printer details

The HP Latex FS70 W Printer, which succeeds the HP Latex 3X00 series, is promoted as HP's most productive Latex printer. It is capable of maximum print speeds up to 162m²/hr, with robust performance at 117m²/hr for outdoor applications and 91m²/hr for indoor use. The printer introduces a 6-litre white ink cartridge allowing print providers to diversify into applications that demand higher margins. The FS70 W can operate unattended for overnight production and is designed to be scalable, supporting options such as a jumbo dual roll kit, 10-litre ink cartridges, and an overcoat printhead for laminated production. Textile printing is supported via an included ink collector.

Connection to the HP PrintOS Production Hub enables PSPs to centralise workflows and production management, facilitating improved operational visibility and automation.

Sustainability features include the use of water-based HP Latex inks that are certified to UL ECOLOGO and UL GREENGUARD Gold standards, as well as 100% carton packaging for cartridges. The printer can be incorporated into the HP Planet Partners programme for recycling hardware and supplies, and PSPs can access resources for sustainability improvement through HP's Sustainability Amplifier.

Productivity Kit

The HP Latex Productivity Kit is designed for users of the existing HP Latex FS50 and FS60 printer series, providing an upgrade path that aims to deliver up to 30% higher productivity in key applications without requiring major capital investment. According to HP, the Productivity Kit upgrades key printer subsystems and boosts speed, eases maintenance, and helps reduce downtime, thereby enabling providers to handle more demanding jobs, lengthen device lifespans, and lower their running costs.

"It's been quite remarkable what quality and speed the HP Latex FS70 W is producing," said UK beta customer John Mark Watson, Managing Director at John Mark Limited. "We always say that if anything needs breaking, we will break it, due to the volumes of print we put through our printers each week; however, the FS70 has proved us wrong. It can't be broken!"

PrintOS Production Hub

The enhanced HP PrintOS Production Hub is a software platform designed to manage workflows, order intake, and production across fleets of printers. The system supports order intake from eCommerce channels, automated preflighting, job assignment, monitoring, and real-time production analytics. PSPs can also take advantage of new collaboration tools such as roles, tags, and activity feeds, which are planned for release later this year. This platform is compatible with multiple printer models and is updated regularly as part of HP's Premium PrintOS Suite and Plus plans, offering customers new features and workflow enhancements over time.

Daniel Martinez, Senior Vice President and Division President of HP Large Format Printing, commented:

"The launch of the HP Latex FS70 W Printer and the HP Latex Productivity Kit marks another step in a strong year of innovation for HP. Following the success of the HP Latex R530 Printer and the HP Latex 730 and 830 Printer Series earlier this year, we are now extending the scalable FS platform to deliver even more growth, sustainability and efficiency for our customers. With continuous innovation through the HP PrintOS Production Hub, we're not just delivering technology at a single point in time, we are ensuring our customers benefit from new functionality and opportunities every day."

Availability

The HP Latex FS70 W Printer, the Productivity Kit, and the latest enhancements to the PrintOS Production Hub will begin selected availability from November 2025, with broader availability expected in February 2026.
